W.G. (Wojciech) Sikorski

Wojciech is working on novel catalytic materials for CO₂reduction within NWO program Materials for Sustainability. Steadily increasing an anthropogenic CO₂level causes undesired changes on the Earth which requires a human actions. His research is focused on photo- and electroreduction of CO₂into more valuable products like CO, HCOO^–, MeOH and thus contribute to circular CO₂economy. For this purpose he is investigating materials based on Metal-Organic Frameworks which can serve as matrix for all components required in the mentioned processes in order to improve selectivity and efficiency. In addition he is interested in designing and synthesizing a new MOFs with a redox-active linkers for efficient charge transfer.
