RESEARCH PROFILE

Demi D. Snabilié is currently a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Bas de Bruin and is part of the Advanced Research Center for Chemical Building Blocks Consortium (ARC CBBC). Her research focuses on the development of metalloradical carbene and nitrene transfer catalysis from low-energy reagents, with the aid of photo- and electrochemistry as the energy source. Instead of using harmful reagents, carbene and nitrene precursor alternatives are investigated to develop the generation of reactive intermediates in a safer and more sustainable manner.
